With country solutions in Kenya, Zambia and Malawi, Sybrin’s Automated Clearing House (ACH) offering is well established. The Sybrin ACH Switch supports multi payment-streams (Cheques, EFTs, Cards, Mobile Payments), multi-currencies and multi-sessions, with seamless RTGS of participating banks’ final settlement positions, with the ability to lockout/exclude certain banks, and un-wind settlements. Banks upload and download their files via Sybrin’s Client Participation Module (CPM), and security is maintained at the highest level with all communication done through SSH secured TCP/IP Pipes and SFTP, with Public/Private Key File Encryption and digital signatures.
The CPM offers Real Time Liquidity Monitoring of Current Position, and its client side validation allows banks to know upfront whether their file formats and data are as per specification. All ACHs implemented by Sybrin have gone “Truncation” – the clearing on the image of the cheque as opposed to the physical cheque – and besides the number of clearing days and courier costs being reduced significantly, the images are archived for as long as needed at the ACH and can be retrieved in a couple of seconds. The ACH can also be configured to outsource certain operations as a separate service to the banks.
