Card Solutions

Credit Card
The Sybrin Card Payments Module will enable customers from different banks to request credit authorisations from their own banks where transactions exceed the floor limit. Authorisation replies will be routed back to the requesting device to authorise or decline the transaction. It will provide for transaction types such as cash, purchases and reversals at a minimum.

In addition to authorisation services, the solution will cater for credit card clearing and settlement. The system will include EMV PIN based cards. The solution will also have a query system for managing charge backs, and billing for all services as well as MIS Reporting. The system will link and keep a “Hot Card” list to prevent lost or stolen cards being misused.

Debit Card
The Sybrin Debit Card module will enable customers from different banks (where the acquirer and issuer are not the same bank) to conclude payment from a merchant or service providers point of sale (POS) device for products and services rendered to the customer.

Payment requests and authorisation replies will be routed to the appropriate destination to facilitate the conclusion of the purchase transaction.

Centralised monitoring in real time of all debit card transactions will provide participant banks with real-time information on transaction success / failure and exposure. Successful transactions go into accounting and settlement processes and the system will provide a billing and MIS Reporting functionality.

As for Credit Cards, the system will link and keep a “Hot Card” list to prevent lost or stolen cards being misused.

ATM
The Sybrin ATM module will route authorisation- and balance enquiry requests to the cardholder’s bank and authorisation- and other replies from the bank to the requesting device to authorise or decline the transaction or to provide the requested information.

The system will generate an acknowledgement of cash disbursements. Successful transactions go into accounting and settlement processes. A transaction query system is part of this solution as like the other modules.
